Let Me Go

Let me go
I can’t trust your words anymore
Let go
Before sadness chokes me

Dazzling memories
Have cooled off into things of the past
Just like this cup of tea
We can’t turn things back
As you too already knew

Let me go
My sick heart can’t lean on you anymore
Let go
Perhaps this is my blessing in disguise

Let me down
On this road to despair
Let me down
Let’s end this
I can’t go on any further

Even though the shining promises
Laughing under those clear skies
Make the tears to fall
It’ll be fine tomorrow
Don’t we know that all too well?

Let me go
My sick heart can’t lean on you anymore
Hold me
This might be the last time
