Walking
In the silent alleyway
Quietly, I record the day
I trace back the footprints that look like silence itself
Finally, I feel like
I’ve taken one step forward
I quietly turn around and look at the road I’ve walked so far
I can see myself
Walking this road
Silently with you
Imprinted on the road
That we walked together till now
Are the footprints that piled up
As we passed each street
They come to me as my greatest solace
I want to say these words to you
Who walked with me,
“Well done, you worked hard, thank you”
“Well done, you worked hard, thank you”
More than half my youth is engraved on my back
The closer I try to look at it, the hazier it gets
They were such dark and obscure roads
But we walked them barefoot fearlessly
Sometimes I wanted to stop
If you weren’t there by my side
I wonder where I’d be lost in by now
I’m still childish and my dreams are still so big
But still, I walk with my head high, shining bright
I can see myself
Walking this road
Silently with you
Imprinted on the road
That we walked together till now
Are the footprints that piled up
As we passed each street
They come to me as my greatest solace
I want to say these words to you
Who walked with me,
“Well done, you worked hard, thank you”
“Well done, you worked hard, thank you”
Memories of standing side by side remain
On the road we walked together some day
Down each road we passed
Footprints go on and on
I think of you as I recall them
You became my light
At the end of the pitch black road
It’s alright, you worked hard, thank you
You worked hard today too, thank you
Thank you
