The Day
For all the cruel sunlight,
It was a breathtaking spring
Above the meadow that holds its breath
Flowers burst into a scarlet bloom
But it is blueness that blankets me
Even in the longest of nights
So even if it is a wretched dream
I will leave again
On the day all winds die down,
On the day I am allowed to long for you,
With an unrestrained heart,
I will call you
On that day that might not come
Even till the end of my life,
With that name that never falls asleep
I will call you
The difference between you and me
Is yet another pain that belongs to us
I will close my eyes at our fate
That makes us point our guns at each other
On the day all winds die down,
On the day I am allowed to long for you,
With an unrestrained heart,
I will call you
On that day that might not come
Even till the end of my life,
With that name that never falls asleep
I will call you
Upon my parched ocean
A scarlet sun descended just once
I cannot forget that distant dream
That is beyond my reach
If by chance we become one at last
At the end of this life
I will call all my glorious suffering
As blueness
