Drive

I drive along the road though there’s no destination
I’m just going where the blue signal lights call me
You’ve enchanted me, and there’s no turning back
A bad direction yet a happy ending, it gives me mixed feelings

Unconsciously
I chart a map

The green light calls me
And wondering if you’re standing at the end of it,
I turn my footsteps again
It grew distant intentionally
I feel that this direction itself is wrong
But I keep going towards you

There’s only one reason
Why I took the familiar left turn
And there will be only one reason
If I ever take the path that my heart opposes, it’s you

Once the firm traffic signs get engraved
I will be a stranger wherever I go
The afterimage that I see when I look outside the window
Makes me stop and look back
Does it look like you? Is it real?

Even if you’re indifferent
I have no other road

The green light calls me
Is there really an end to it?
Am I already too late?
What will be there at the end of this blind tunnel?
I hope it will be you

There’s only one reason
Why I took the familiar left turn
And there will be only one reason
If I ever take the path that my heart opposes, it’s you

I just keep hovering around you every day
So that I, who am weak, will be able to reach you just once

One rough light word from you can control me
Though I shake my head
I go back to you like a steering wheel
That turns without a will of its own
You coil around me

I don’t know why
Even if I wander around
On all the roads in the world, I have only one destination
And that is you
Who smiles so clearly upon this road that is not even a road at night
